Welcome to the Cross-Link community. As a psychotherapist working in the fields of trauma and addiction, I've seen firsthand the value, challenge, and complexity of human relationships. Both my research and practice are focused on identity and mental health, with a specialization in sociopolitical identity and clinical practice. My outlook on wellbeing focuses on people and their ability to form meaningful connections.
In an age of widespread social disconnection and political polarization, we need meaningful connections more than ever. I founded Cross-Link for this purpose. Therapy Across Party Lines is a project that aims to understand the psychological and interpersonal underpinnings of polarization, with the goal of finding ways for mental health providers to help people across the political spectrum. Mental health providers have a unique pathway to lead in this moment. What pathways do you see?
